Sketch Challenge #3

Happy MONDAY!!!!!

Here's the sketch for todays challenge:

I was a little rushed on this challenge ....but I think I came up with a pretty good card for a kid! I used the colors right off the Color Coach and all the stamps used on this card are from the Sale-A-Bration mini - ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!!

Ingredients:

Stamps: Lots of Thoughts; Birthday Whimsy
Ink: Tempting Turqouise; Basic Black
Cardstock: Taken with Teal; Certainly Celery; Cameo Coral; Whisper White; Apricot Appeal
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch; Scallop Punch; 3/16" Corner Rounder

Details:
I stamped the birthday presents on Whisper White cardstock and cut them out - without the bow. I cleaned my stamp and inked up the bow on the present and stamped it on the various colors of cardstock (Celery, Cameo, Apricot) and punched them out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. Then I adhered the presents on each circle. I used the Tempting Turquoise Marker on the "Cheers to You" stamp, eliminating the last line of words....they wouldn't fit well in the circle. To make the scalloped edge on the top of the card - take the corner guide off the 3/16" Corner Rounder and punch all the way across.

This challenge was fun and fast!

Here's the link to see other cards made with this same sketch. They will be posted after Noon on Monday:

Great job and love the use of the color coach, this is such a wonderful tool when you are in a hurry to find some colors to work with!

I had a terrible time with this sketch. Here I was thinking the panel piece at the bottom had to be a different pattern! (insert rolling eyes)
It didn't dawn on me that it could be one piece and just add the center like you did. Now I may use this sketch again after seeing what you did.

Great take on this sketch! What a cute birthday card. Love the way you did the gifts to get them in different colors! Margaret

This is such a cute card! Great colors too. However ... I just didn't find it to be "quick", although I really do like this sketch a lot. You made me giggle at the differences we all see in things!
