BFF Gift

I made a very special gift for my BFF for Christmas. It's a scrapbook with pictures of our hunting and fishing adventures in it.....that's my BFF on the far right below. Also picture (l. to r.) is my mom, me and my WONDERFUL sister-in-law, Barb.

WARNING: If you click on the photos to blow up the images so you can see the actual pictures on the scrap pages, you will see dead animals. YES - that's right...this is a hunting/fishing scrapbook and we do get some stuff once in awhile - LOL! If you don't like looking at dead animals....don't go any further. Don't put a comment on my blog about how you're going to "unsubscribe" because you think I'm horrible for hunting......that's what I do and I don't care what you think about it - *wink* With that being said - continue on.....

I really wish I would have taken a photo before I got started...but I wasn't thinking straight....not unusual! LOL Most people don't even know that SU sells these albums...they are on page 183 of the NEW catalog for only $13.95. The On Board Album comes in 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 and they are made of chipboard. This was soooooooo PERFECT for my project because I wanted to cover it with scrapbooking paper. I'm sad to say...SU doesn't have any outdoorsie paper, so I had to visit my local scrap store - OPPS....NOW COME ON....you all do it from time to time! LOL

Here's a picture of the cover and spine. All I did was apply Modge Podge to the back of the paper and glue it on - SUPER SIMPLE. And you can have an album in any pattern/color you want - HOW COOL IS THAT????

Here's the inside of the cover before I finished it with some more paper.
I put a photo on the front from our fishing trip to Devils Lake, North Dakota. I get the BEST sunset pictures out there!

Thanks for looking!

FREE CATALOGS FROM SU!!!!

Want to know how to get your 2009 Spring Summer Catalog FREE? (Aside from being a hostess?...which, don't get me wrong, is pretty great!).

Well, Stampin Up! has said, that all new online customers (that have not yet purchased through the online catalog) who register and place any order in the month of February, March and April, will receive one of the brand new catalogs FREE in their order. Believe me you will love it! Not only does it have all of the new products, it has awesome ideas and pictures. Anything close to this quality would be at least $20.00 in Barnes and Noble. (Plus, you don't have to weed through all of the ads).

Now, to do this, you will want to register through my website so that you don't have a surcharge. Here is a link to do that http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/kellyacheson/

Register now (I know, it will be hard to wait until Sunday to order, but it will give you something to do while your husband is watching the Superbowl). Oh, and try this! When you get there, click on SHOP NOW and look at the left hand column of the page. You will see this:

A Man of Many Hats!

This was the gift I gave my hubby for his "really old" birthday! This is like the CD Case Accoridan Album we will be making at my FREE scrapbooking class tomorrow night. You should be able to click on the photos to get a better view.

The left side has a scalloped envelope (SU die) and inside is a homemade gift card (see 2nd photo below). How appropriate is the SU Stamp Golfer guy???? On the back side of the gift card - I wrote that he is entited to a round of golf when we go to Hawaii!!!! And we're going to Hawaii on an all-expense paid trip for two on Stampin' Up!!!!
I have no idea how much this is going to cost me, the golf, that is.....but I'm thinking I should have gotten my butt to the mall and purchased a sweater!!! LOL
And here starts the photos of him in his many hats - yes...he is quite a character....most often the life of the party...sometimes good and sometimes not - LOL!!!!

Hubby on the left and his partner in crime...my brother...on the right. Did you have any idea that an empty beer case would make such a good hat? I KNOW!!! Me neither! But it also comes with glasses attached (click to view what I'm talking about here!). I really wish I had a photo of what happened shortly after this one was taken. Picture this get-up with a cape made from a black garbage bag and a grown man riding through the campground on a bicycle.....YEA.....I know you're giggling now! I do have my hands full!

On the left - what his teeth will look like in 40 years and on the right...lusting after the hair attached to this hat.

On the left - gettin' jiggy with it...and on the right...still pining after that hair!

And last, but not least.....making a play for a new career...DOG, THE BOUNTY HUNTER! Just kiddin' - he hates that show!!! LOL

Thanks for visiting!
