Bridal Gift Scrapbook Pages

I was at my step-daughters last week to help with a really fun project. Stephanie came up with the idea to have each of the bridesmaids in her friends' wedding make scrapbook pages of them with her (the bride, not Steph). There were some relatives that really liked the idea - so they came and made pages too! They are going to give the entire book to her as a gift at her bachelorette party. We had sooooo much fun! Most of these ladies had never scrapbooked either!!! They used the Secret Garden Scrappin' Kit and I must say - this was a HUGE benefit!!!

Here are my scrapbook pages for my 10-10-15 club for October. The pictures are from our Stampin' Up! cruise to Panama & Aruba. I wish I could have found some of the underwater photos from our snorkeling excursion - but I don't have a clue as to what I did with those!!!!!

The blank layer is for journaling - I hope to get that done VERY soon....LOL!

"Man" made card - VERY FUNNY!

OK - so one of my very good stamping friends emailed this link to me twice - the first time, I didn't look at it because I was....well, being Kelly, you know crazy busy...then she asked me about it and I told her it hit the trash....so being a friend that loves stamping AND humor (what a GREAT combo), she emailed it to me again. This time I watched the entire video - in complete awe! This guy really knows his stuff!!!!

Here's the link - it's worth a HUGE chuckle - and GINORMOUS pat on the back to this guy - his wife must be sooooooooooooo PROUD!!!!

Have a GREAT day!

World Card Making Day Event

I apologize for taking soooooo long to post this!!!! Things have been just nuts here and I've been procrastinating with the photo loading and sorting.....BECAUSE.....I started the loading process and had to postpone - when I came back to it - all my pictures were gone - this BLOG has been giving me somewhat of a hard time...BUT....

What a GREAT day we had for stamping!!!! Our World Card Making Day was centered around making cards for the local Appleton Army Reserve unit, stationed overseas. Everyone was in a GREAT mood as they had a blast making some fantastic cards to donate to the troops. All were encouraged to bring some cards from home, as well as items to donate to the care packages that the troops families will be sending out. Here are the cards that everyone made at the event and some of those donated cards:

These extra boxes were donated.......can you believe that??? There had to be over 300 cards!!!! The kids at the Hortonville Area School District donated some very special Halloween cards with personal messages inside for the troops! Thanks kids!

Here we have Denise K. (left) - thanks so much Denise for all your help in designing one of our featured cards and donating your supplies for that card. Thanks also for donating a box of envelopes and hundreds of cards from your stamping friends! In the middle - we had a VETERAN!!!!! Stacy L. came along to help make cards for those still overseas. She spent 18 months in Iraq with the Guards!!!! And on the right we have Lisa K. - Lisa is one of my Stampin' Up! demonstrators and a GREAT friend!!!! Thanks Lisa for all your help too!

Here are some of the items that were donated for the Troop care packages! I even had a couple stampers donate cash to help with the Troop families' shipping charges!!!

Jason K. and Cindy S. had a great time making their projects too!

Here I am in the middle showing off the cards that Jason made at home and donated to the cause......he is sooooooo talented - really an artist! Below is a photo of Jason' cards.

What looks like alot of concentration, also included alot of laughing with Linda at the table!!! Here's Lynette, Linda, Clare and Tracy hard at work.

Stacy, Lisa, Sue & Lynnette joking around. Notice that HUGE tape gun on the table - Sue is definately serious about her adhesive - she's calls it the TERRORIST TAPE GUN!!!!

We had some help with the food too!!!! Thanks to all who brought something to share - I was definately full when we were done!

Perpetual Birthday Calendar

I finally had time to get this book done!!!! WHEW!

Here's the deal.....I am so tired of re-writing all those birthdays on my new calendar every year. We always have to do it in December...you know...as if we don't have anything better to do in December???!!!!! And this week when my hubby asked me if I sent his brother a birthday card, "isn't today his birthday?" he asks me.....I go to the calendar on the fridge and say "no - it can't be, it's not on the calendar." Then as I'm perusing October....I notice there are NO birthdays in October....well - I'm no genius....sometimes I say I am when I come up with a great stamping idea....but I know my nephews' birthday is in October and he's not on there either! So, when I saw this baby at the Convention in Denver this summer - bells and whistles were SCREAMING in my head!!! LOL I can't be alone - can I? What a GREAT class to put on!!!!! So - I'm going to torture myself with this one and do just that! Would this make a fabulous gift or what????

Come join me on November 6th and make this Birthday Calendar Book! It would make a wonderful gift for a special person in your life! Email me for details at 1queenmom@sbcglobal.net and use Birthday Calendar in the subject line or you might turn into spam! LOL
