UPS!

I saw this on another blog and had to hijack it!!! We have a running joke in my house - my UPS guy is HOT! My hubby is always bringing the "hot UPS guy" up in a teasing way - LOL!!!! My mom was visiting one day and I was looking out the kitchen window and I gasped, she came right over to see what it was that I saw....LOL....it was the BIG BROWN TRUCK round the corner!!! She just rolled her eyes! And of course thought I was a little crazy...and I am.

It's not the UPS guy, per se, it's all the stamping supplies he's delivering SILLY!!! LOL

SUPER Busy Weekend!

This has nothing to do with stamping....I just had to share these photos! We went camping (well, kind of) over the weekend. But we also had a soccer tournament and my class reunion. We put on 700+ miles, $210 in gas and came home with some great pictures, wonderful memories and a TROPHY!!!!
These deer were right in the campsites at 5:30 AM (when we had to get up Sat & Sun for the drive to the tournament)!!!! My camera failed me....I wish I would have shut off the automatic flash - the picture of the twin fawns would have turned out beautiful!!!!
I have a VERY happy soccer player (1st photo) and then 15 minutes later, a very exhausted soccer player sleeping in the backseat on the way back to the campgrounds!

More Scrap Pages from the MASTER

Here are the last 2 sets of pages Hailey made for her Papa for his birthday!  Again - both are Becky Higgins layouts.  Aren't they adorable????

Blogger: A Stamp Above - Create Post

I've been tagged by Sharon and now I need to publish 7 random or weird facts. Now, who really wants to publish 7 weird facts about themselves? Conversely, perhaps publishing any facts about yourself is a little weird... hmm but I've never had a problem with myself...well I have several problems....but we won't get into that! LOL

So.. here are the rules:

TAGGED

7 Random or Weird Facts About Me:

1.  I LOVE beautiful front doors on houses...my hubby used to drive through nice neighborhoods so I could look at the beautiful doors...this is funny considering that my front door came from an old school house and is horribly ugly!!! LOL

2.  I LOVE hunting - deer hunting, bow hunting, but bear hunting is my all-time fav!  If you're a tree hugger and find this offensive, please don't leave negative messages on my blog - I don't infringe on your right to do what you love and I don't care what you think.....you have the right not to visit my blog.

3.  I LOVE my pool - this is not weird - but the weird part is....I don't really like swimming! LOL  Just floating around, basking in the sun....

4.  I LOVE it when my father (a professional driver) starts purposely driving crazy on the slippery, snow-covered roads or muddy roads - I DO NOT like it when my husband does this! LOL

5.  From my daughter....I drink Pepsi from sun up to way after sun down and I don't like to drink water - she thinks this is weird.  If that's all she's got - I figure I'm doing OK!

6. When I go to bed at night and find one of my pillows under my hubby's head - I really want to smack him!!! LOL  This really makes me mad!  Men have stinky heads and I hate stinky pillows! (thank goodness he never reads my blog)

7.  And last but not least.....I would rather scrub toliets than go grocery shopping or cook meals!

The official rules say that I'm suppose to tag 7 more bloggers - but I'm suppose to be packing to go camping this weekend right now...well kind of camping...we have a soccer tournament about 1 1/2 hours from the camping with an 8am game and 2:40pm game Sat and another 8am game, 10:40am game and 2:40pm championship (which we always get to) game on Sun - and in between all this - I have my class reunion on Sat night an hour the other way from the soccer tournament!!!  So I don't have time to do the 7 bloggers right now - but I'll get to that next week!

Thanks for the tag Sharon!

LOOK what I ALMOST did!!!!

OH NO - at first you might not see the HUGE mistake here.....but if you're up on your SU stamp sets you'll catch it. I was making the cards in this picture for a demo swap (yes - I KNOW - I should be working on convention swaps) and I have no idea why...but I looked in the catalog because of that little "feeling" that kept nipping at my heels, it finally flourished -THE DARN BACKGROUND STAMP IS RETIRED!!!! HOLY COW! I have to giggle a little bit - I immediately thought "I almost pulled a LYNN!" Lynn I know you're laughing about this!!!! LOL I hope so - because I want you to laugh....Lynn was horrified when she participated in a swap and unknown to her - one of the stamps she used was retired!

WELL - if you look a little further, I did save myself! Changed the background and got the swap cards done! This was my original card and I do like it best!

Then I used one of my favorite wheels for the background and this is what I finished with:

Ingredients
Stamps: Owl Together; Dots are Hot; Whimsy Wheel
Cardstock: Creamy Caramel; Whisper White; Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Brocade Blue; Tempting Turquoise; Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Round Tab Punch; Turquoise Ribbon; Metallic Eyelets; Crop-A-Dile; Watercolor Crayons; Aqua Painters

Just a funny.....out cat (Gus) has taken a likin' to a basket sitting on my "junk" table in the basement - just had to get a photo!

Swap Cards

Convention is just around the corner and I've been working on swap cards....but these are for private swaps!!!! What could I possible be thinking????? LOL I have joined 3 private swaps and I'm hosting a shoebox swap next Wednesday - another swap card!!!! All this with convention coming - CRAZY! LOL These are all VERY good swaps and I don't want to miss anything - ya know???

Here's a close up of one swap card. I thought it was a cute idea to have only one owl showing on the front and then several on the inside with the message "something for you from owl of us!" Little pun!

Here's a picture of the stampin' dungeon after a night of brainstorming...it actually doesn't look too bad...really! It's been much worse! LOL

Let the flooding begin! NO - not really - this is what I woke up to this AM. I'm really tired of all the excessive rain in the last month or so....everytime we get substantial rain - my stampin' dungeon looks like this!!! It's ruining one of my bookshelves!!!! Notice - everything on the floor is in bins - I have LEARNED my lesson here! This is what happens when you have a 108 year old house....and would rather spend your money on STAMPS!!! LOL
