Crop-A-Dile

Finally, an all-in-one tool that punches holes and silently sets eyelets, and it's portable. With 1/8" and 3/16" built-in hole punches, it silently and easily sets eyelets of both sizes-and there are no loose pieces to keep track of. But the Crop-A-Dile is more than just an ordinary eyelet setter. It also punches through chipboard, tin, and multiple paper layers with unexpected ease. You can also dry emboss small circles with it, like on the card below. You'll be amazed at what you can do with this great tool.

Right now - I'm offering the Crop-A-Dile for FREE!!!!! With $150 in outside orders - you'll earn this wonderful tool for free (value $29.95) from me!

Scrapbook Pages

Here are the scrapbook pages that my monthly scrappin' group made! I'm loving the new In Color line!!!! I used River Rock for the background and Blue Bayou for the mats - the designer paper is Porcelain Prints. Used the Spring Bouquet punch and the NEW Photo Corner punch too! The layer for journaling is Wild Wasabi. The "h" is made with the Simon Lower Chipboard and embellished with a Rhinestone Brad!

Join my TEAM!!!!

Join My Team!

Right now, with the Choose Your Color Family starter kit promotion offer, it is truly a great time to join the Stampin' Up! family. And if the free color family of inkpads is not enough to convince you to sign up, you might ask yourself these questions:

Are you ready to start saving money on your own business supplies?

Do you want to own a business that will help you pay for your business supplies and maybe even add money to the family coffers while being your own boss and working on your own terms?

Do you want to be a member of a super talented and successful group of demonstrators who will support and encourage you at every level from hobby demonstrator to rising star?

Are you interested in having a fun, Stampin' Up! obsessed upline who splits her stamp time developing her business and stamping prowess (yup, that would be me!) and happily supports all members of her downline, from hobbyists to business builders both in the Fox Valley area and across the country?

If you answered yes to any of these questions or if you have questions of your own, call (920-720-3139) or e-mail me (1queenmom@sbcglobal.net) for more information. I'm happy to chat with you and answer all of your questions, with absolutely no obligation. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Supersize Snowflake Mounting Tip

I wanted to show you an alternative to mounting the Supersize Snowflake stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalog. This snowflake is as big as a background stamp. One side is the outline of the snowflake and the other is the bold image with the words "winter * wishes." I chose to mount the words on the end of the block. I also always mount the name strip of background stamps on the end of the wooden block instead of the plastic case.

Here's my 1st card with this beauty!!!! The picture doesn't do it justice.....I hate it when that happens....it's really very stunning in real life! I used Versamark ink and Iridescent Ice embossing powder for the snowflake - it sparkles like a jewel! The words are embossed in silver embossing powder. And let's not forget the cord - it's the NEW elastic cording that comes in silver or gold from the Holiday Mini Catalog!!! Lovin' that! It's much easier to tie because it stretches.....

More Convention Pictures!

I just had to post this picture.....my darling daughter came to pick me up at the airport when I got back from the Denver convention (with her dad of course - she can't drive yet) and she brought me flowers!!!!! She's so VERY thoughtful! Everyone asks "where does she get that gorgeous hair?" She looks just like her dad and she gets the hair from him too....although he shaves his head now for the "Mr. Clean" look! I've always been a little partial to the "Mr. Clean" look myself! LOL

Isn't this card adorable????

This is framed with one of the chipboard giant flowers and embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder:

Here's some more chipboard and Iridescent Ice EP on our journal:

Framed art work is all the rage this season!!!

Framed Witchy Poo!

Isn't she cute??? This was one of my downline meeting projects that I made this last year and just pulled out again! I used the witch from the Booglie Eyes stamp set and last year's Designer Paper. I purchased the frames for $1 at Micheals - made a little template and used a glue stick to adhere the paper to the frame. Sometimes I whip up several of these as gifts for my workshop hostesses.

Envelope Memory Card

I was busy tonight - after a 2 hour nap!!! - making this Envelope Memory card for my brother's birthday on Monday. These are so fun - the background base is made out of envelopes attached to each other.

Julie's Demo Gathering

Here she is...........(drum roll)....the STAR of the night: Julie G. oooooo aghhhhhhhh! Julie is an SU Demonstrator friend of mine, I wish she lived closer, I think we could have a lot of fun together - and she does incredible work!!!!!!

Julie had a demonstrator gathering tonight in Bovina (it's about 30 minutes north of here). It was the 1st of many....I hope! She did a fantastic job - we had an incredible meal and she remembered that the chipped beef bagel dip was my all time favorite! I feel like I'm going to explode - I'm so full.

We arrived to pick up our make-n-take bags, fully equipped with a name tag and door prize form. We did some swapping - I LOVE demonstrator swaps! Here's a picture of the swaps that I got:

Here's a shot of the fabulous facility that Julie & Liz use for their stamp camps:

This is a display board that Julie put together for the August Punch a Bunch Promotion:

Opps....and we had a little visitor at the town hall....I think he's in trouble....he thought there was a board meeting, but it was actually last week!!!! Kind of cute - heh? LOL We invited him to stamp with us....but he just laughed and left...kind of in a hurry!!! LOL

I WON I WON I WON!!!!! I actually won a door prize! Julie made up these little beauties for us!!!!

Aren't they the cutest!!!

Here are the wonderful make-n-takes that Julie put together for us. I love that new taffeta ribbon:

I know I'm going to HAVE to HAVE this stamp set:

How cute is this???? A little jar with punched flowers from 3 of our flower punches - a jar of homemade Primas!!!!

Thanks so much Julie for a SUPER fun evening! I can't wait for the next one!

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
OK - so I've been nurturing my flowers all summer....I water them everyday and sometimes twice a day...I threaten my family with "homelessness" when I'm gone and they're in charge of my flowers and they've come through for me each time. I planted some flower seeds in between my perennials and I've been very diligent in taking really good care of them. I planted dwarf sunflowers and they are doing GREAT - however - I have this 8 foot tall dwarf sunflower....must have put a regular sunflower seed in my packet at the mfg plant, but that's not really the reason for my ranting. Here's the kicker....I've come to a very disgusting conclusion....as I've marveled over the tall "flowers" in the middle of the picture below for several weeks now - very proud of these beauties, mind you - I've come to the horrible realization this week that................I do believe they are GIANT, HEALTHY WEEDS!!!!!!

P.S. I really do have a lawn......be it brown....but there is grass in my yard. My hubby got some FREE dirt - I LOVE FREE stuff! - from the neighbor and filled in some low spots in our lawn.....this is GREAT I think....but he never planted grass on it.......he's going to wait until fall! OH GREAT - beautiful flower beds to go with our "dirt patch" lawn. I'm sure he's always sabotaging me!

My Holiday Mini Preorder Came Today!!!!!

I'm soooooooo excited!!!! My Holiday Mini Catalog preorder came today!!!! How did I get that so fast you might ask..........I used my birthday money from my in-laws to pay for 2nd Day Express Shipping!!!!! How frivolous is that???? I always try to do something for myself when I get money for a gift and I WANTED THESE STAMPS PRONTO!!!!

Here's the Season of Joy stamp set - $26.95. I think it's going to be the most popular stamp set in the Mini! So, here's the funny part (there's always a funny part in my life!) - I went down to the Stampin' Paradise Dungeon to get my Rubber Craft scissors - if you don't have these for cutting out your rubber, YOU HAVE TO GET THEM!!!! They are the BEST! Anyhoo - I went and got them and I'm going to get those stamps cut and mounted......SILLY ME!!!! I forgot that all the stamps from the Holiday Mini are die-cut!!! How cool is that??? That's why you'll notice that the price is a little higher. SU said this is a test run for the die-cut stamps - they're going to feel out their customers to see if they like the ease of having die-cut stamps and are willing to pay the extra price for them! I LOVE them!!!!

This set called Snow Burst. We have matching wrapping paper and I'm sure this set is going to be a HUGE hit too! Demo's couldn't preorder the wrapping paper because SU has sent it back to the printers. They told us at Convention that they want it printed on thicker paper than the sample they received originally....I LOVE the fact that "high" quality is a top concern with them!

This picture is a little fuzzy - I'd retake it - but it's a whole process that I don't want to spend time on tonight - I have stamps to mount and creative juices to get flowing!!!! These are the Mini Library Clips. They come in four different colors and you get 48 in a pack for $12.95. I wasn't going to order these just yet....but they used them at Convention and I fell in LOVE of course! They are adorable!

And last, but certainly NOT LEAST, we have the Supersize Snowflake set! I didn't realize until they demo'd this set at Convention that both snowflakes are GIANT!!!! They are as big as a background stamp - you mount the outline on one side of the wood block and the other snowflake with the words on the opposite side. They did some really spectacular projects with these! Envision spectacular ornaments with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder - MY fav in the WOW factor!!!

Holiday Mini Catalogs will be mailed on August 15th - if you're one of my customers - watch your mail!!!!!

One of my BESTEST friends is coming tomorrow and we'll be stamping with these NEW beauties long into the wee hours of the morning - I can hardly wait!!! I'm heading down to the dungeon to clean up a little bit....always such a disaster! Have a GREAT weekend! I'm be sure to post our creations real soon....

Open House/Customer Appreciation Event

I had a wonderful time tonight at my open house/customer appreciation event tonight!!! I think the ladies had a good time too!

Jane tried really hard to back out of the picture.....and this is what happens!!! She looks like she's having fun!

Here are the two cards that everyone made (I received both of these as swaps at the Denver Convention):

I demonstrated techniques used on chipboard and the Pretties Kit.....

The Pretties Kit!!!!

This puppy is outstanding!!! I can't believe how many pieces come with it!!!

I used Stampin' Pastels and applied them to the flowers with a dauber. The background on this card is stamped with Baroque Motifs and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.....

I used an Aqua Painter and Groovy Guava ink for this flower.....

I left this flower white.....

Here is a hat pin from the Pretties Kit on a Love Note made at convention....

This one was also made at convention with Stampin' Pastels......

Chipboard is all the RAGE!!!!

Whether you're stamping cards, making home decor or scrapbooking.....chipboard is EVERYWHERE!!!

The star on this card uses craft ink and is embossed with clear embossing powder, making the star look glassy, like porcelein (I don't really know how to spell that word and I'm too lazy to use the spell check - but you know what I mean)....

Using Craft Ink & Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder on the star...

Another convention make-n-take....

Using White Craft Ink and stamping with Define Your Life stamp on the heart.....

I used Flowers for You designer paper - glued to the chipboard with a glue stick and sanded the edges with a sanding block....

Three for You Punch Box

Here are a few samples made using the NEW punch box (click on the picture to get a bigger view).....

MOM - I'm sad to report that I forgot to take a picture of the Chocolate Fountain you gave me for my birthday.....I think everyone really likes it - I know I do....however, I do believe that you should keep it at your house. I see some really BIG problems that could arise in the near future - I just bought all new clothes...remember....because mine all shrunk since last summer?

And you know how everything tastes good with Chocolate...I even thought about serving carrots with the bananas, pineapple, pretzels, marshmallows, strawberries and apple slices! We'll talk about that!

I'm on a roll - somebody PLEASE stop me!!!!

Here's my updated display board!!!! The scrapbook page is old...but really cute!

And as long as I was snapping pictures...here's my card display using the Baroque Motifs stamp set that I said I didn't like....ha ha ha....what was I thinking????
