June Scrapbooking Pages
My mom is the happiest person I know! You can hear her laughing from accross a crowded room - and you know it's her too! She's always been the kind of mom that will give her opinion, but only when asked and she always tries to look on the bright side of everything - I LOVE that attitude. Her glass is always half full - not half empty. I almost lost her a few years ago and that made me appreciate her that much more...if that was possible! She is the BEST grama in the whole world to my daughter - they both adore each other! I thank god everyday for the blessings He has given me - especially my mom!
I have a very different kind of mom....not the PTA kind, or the Suzie Homemaker kind...but the kind that has really expanded my life. My mom was a hair dresser by trade - but as soon as my younger sister was 18 - she got herself a new career - as a TRUCK DRIVER! YEP - my mom drives a big 18-wheeler. My mom and dad double team their own truck. (FYI - here's a little sticker shock for you...it costs $1,200 to fill their truck up with fuel!)
My mom is a HUGE lover of hunting and fishing. Our vacation time is spent fishing in North Dakota, bear hunting in Northern Wisconsin and deer hunting is central Wisconsin. My mom loves the outdoors, she loves her flowers and she loves to take pictures. So these pages really show her doing the things she loves and she's even been know to play a little Guitar Hero!!!
Here's a close up the of the picture panel. You have to score these at 1/2" at the top so they will open nicely and then attach them with Sticky Strip.
Here's a side view. I actually cut a hole in the front of my page protector so that you can look at the pictures in the panel without taking the whole page out of the protector. If you click on this photo you can get a more detailed view.
I used the Outline Alphabet set - stamped it in Purley Pomegranate ink and then colored it in with a VersaMarker - we learned this at convention last summer.
Thanks for looking!

Acetate Birthday Card
Chipboard is on sale this month!!!! With a $35 purchase you can get any chipboard items for 25% off.
This is the card I made for my mom for her birthday. It's made out of acetate and chipboard. I used Real Red & Only Orange Craft inks on the chipboard and then clear embossed them. They look like glass flowers in person. I inserted a Rhinestone Brad in the middle to hold the chipboard flowers on the front of the card and put the layers for writing on the inside back layer.

Die Cut Blooms!
OK - just new to me....maybe you already have them, but you're not stealing my thunder here!!! LOL
- Die-Cut Blooms (page 14 - Summer Occasions Mini Catalog)
- Build A Brad (page 189 - Spring/Summer Catalog)
- Flower Fusion (page 177 - Spring/Summer Catalog)
Here's a little tutorial to show you what these Build A Brads are all about:
You need your pokey tool & mat, 1/2" circle punch, a scrap of cardstock or designer series paper (I used the Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper here).
Punch out a 1/2" circle and put it on the face of the brad with SNAIL (adhesive)
Now take one of the bubble windows (these are self-adhesive!) and place on top of your brad!!! THAT'S IT!!!!
Here's the 1st card I completed!!! Click on the photo to get a closer view of the brad and also the Flower Fusion flower!
These are some more flowers I made with the Die-Cut Blooms, Flower Fusion and the Build a Brad - WOW - can we say accessorize??? LOL
All of these cards were SUPER easy! I used the Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper from the mini for the background paper behind the flower. The flower is one of the Die Cut Blooms - these are all die-cut on our beautiful textured paper too. Funny thing....I really didn't notice them in the mini catalog....until I started getting swaps that used them! Then I figured I needed a pack - well, actually 2 packs - from Gloria (she's my 2nd upline and I won her card contest a couple months ago - I picked 2 packs of flowers for my prize!!! Gotta love FREE!!! BOY am I glad I got them!!!! They are just TOO EASY! And the textured paper is so rich looking! OK - I'll stop now! LOL
Flower Fusion raises card embellishing to a new HIGH!!!! These are so cute and again....SUPER EASY! I also love the colors! I took these colors (earth elements) and put them with bright and cheerful summer colors - Real Red & Only Orange! How cool is that?
