Scrappy Purse

I found this little jewel on someone's blog and it made me smile! We will be making this in my scrapbooking classes on September 24th & 29th. The original idea comes from Jan Tink....she does incredible work! This one uses 2 envelopes and the beautiful Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper with Old Olive, Orchid Opulence and my fav...Rich Razzleberry cardstock!!! The purse flap will be made with the NEW Square Scallop Die (115950 $21.95) for the Big Shot - how fun is that????

Stampin' for the Troops!!!!!

WOW!!! We had a GREAT turnout for this event and had tons of fun too!!!! In August Lisa Klotz, Cathy Miller, Kathy Beck and I - organized a day of stamping for our Troops! Some in attendance brought bags and boxes of cards to donate to our service men and women - to use to send home to their family & friends, some donated money and some brought treats to keep us energized! Some brought items to put in care packages for the troops too!

Each stamper made 10 cards - 2 each of 5 different designs. They kept one card and donated the other card to the Camo Quilt Project - the ladies at this fabulous organization will be sending these cards with the quilts that they make and send to soldiers serving in the war!

We raised over $200 with registration fees and donations to give to the Camo Quilt Project - please view their website HERE!!!!

I know from personal experience (my step-son served in Iraq) that these troops LOVE the cards that we send to them - when he opened up the box that he got a couple years ago - he said all the cards were gone in a few minutes - all kinds of cards for them to use...birthday, thinking of you, miss you, etc.....

Fall is in the AIR!

Ok - so here's a funny photo and a little story behind it.... one of my demos - Rachael - stopped by and searched through my swaps for some inspiration....she said she was in a stamping slump! OH NO! I said...and then I got out my "SLUMP STOPPING POM POM!!!" So here's my attempt at ending that HORRIBLE SLUMP!!!!! I can't remember my exact cheer, but it had something to do with rubber, rah rah rah and it was funny! LOL!!!!

Here's another silly photo....once in a great while....my hubby comes to visit me in my dungeon....don't I look suprised......and happy??? LOL

I know...it's only September...but August left us with some "October feeling" weather here in Wisconsin....URGHHHH!!!!!

I've been participating in swaps like a rubber maniac lately....LOVE to get those GREAT ideas to share! Here are a few cards to get that FALL inspiration going!
